Nurse Jane Haslop (f)

Our Practice Nurse Jane Haslop sees patients during surgery hours for blood tests, ear syringing, blood pressure checks, dressings, removal of stitches, injections and immunisations, cervical screening, baby immunisations, spirometry and dopplers.

The Practice Nurse also undertakes Chronic Disease Monitoring for conditions such as diabetes, asthma, heart disease and high blood pressure.

In addition, Jane also offers foreign travel advice.

Our Healthcare Assistants, support the Practice Nurse with daily work and carry out tasks such as:

  • Phlebotomy (drawing blood)
  • Advanced phlebotomy draws (butterfly, hands & feet) 
  • Blood pressure measurement
  • Dressings and wound care
  • ECGs
  • Suture and stitch removal
  • NHS Health Checks
  • Flu and nasal flu vaccinations
  • Pneumonia, B12 and shingles immunisations
  • INR (warfarin check)
  • Fitting and removal of 24 hour blood pressure monitors
  • Hypertension and COPD checks
  • Diabetic Checks
  • Non-diabetic hyperglycaemia (pre-diabetes) referrals
