When We Are Closed

closed_signTelephone: NHS111  (dial 111)

Patients are able to contact a doctor in an emergency out of normal surgery hours after 6 pm in the evening and before 8.30 am in the morning. If you do need a doctor in an emergency during these times, please telephone the Out of Hours Service directly for advice.   Please consider whether your problem will wait until the surgery is open.

Patients may still telephone the surgery line out of hours on 01452 812545 but will be automatically diverted to the emergency call centre.

NHS111

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call NHS111 (dial 111) to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.  Requests for routine medication, ear syringes, replacement dressings would NOT constitute an emergency.
